Here are a few pictures showing the Air Cleaner Housing. The Wrinkle Paint finish is correct for this particular setup. A 340 Engine identification “Tin Pan” will also be added,
along with an Air Element Decal to complete the assembly.
The Engine Assembly is just about complete and ready for installation. The only Components to complete the Assembly will be the Ignition Coil, Fuel Filter, Idle Solenoid unit and a few other miscellaneous parts.
We originally used a 1969 Alternator but had to switch the back with a 1970 unit, due to the difference with the internal ground connection. Here was the 1969 unit before switching to the 1970 back half section. Also shown is the Fan Clutch Assembly.
Here are a couple of pictures showing the completed Bezel. The white Lettering is complete, along with the silver Border and the Wrinkle Paint finish on the out-lying perimeter plastic.
Here are a few photos showing the Pinon Yoke and Third Member with their inspection/date code markings. The NOS 8.75 Pinion Yoke still has its original inspection paint marks. The 3 white slashes on the Rear End represent a 3:55 to 1 open gear ratio. The SPD for the car is July 30th. The 7-14 represents the month and day the Rear Assembly was setup and built.
